    There are a lot of issues about the laptop screen, such as black screen, half screen is black and other half screen is normal, or the screen is pink, or even the screen with the multicolor or gray lines. These problems are upset us all the time, so if you want to know something about them, this guide is your best choice.

    If you have encountered one or more of these issues; there are some common test steps for these problems.

    First of all, you have to take the connection problems into consideration, for example, to make sure whether the power cable and power code connects well with the laptop and power socket, to make sure the connection between the video cable and LCD screen, to make sure the contact between the video card and the slot on the motherboard. You can just the plug and unplug the cable for a few times to test the laptop. When you encountered the issues such as the black screen or the garbled screen with multicolor or gray lines, you can take this measure.

If the two memory slots are both with memory modules, you have to remove one of the memory modules to test the laptop, if the laptop can work well, this means that both of the memory module and slot are well. Then test the laptop with another memory module. If the laptop can not boot up, you can try this memory module with another good slot, and in this step, you can know the problem is related to the memory module or the slot. Replace it.

    Two: motherboard failure.

    Symptom: the cooling fan is working well while the screen is black.

    Solution: it is may be the video card is out of work, while most video card is soldered to the motherboard, so you have no other choice but to replace it with a new one.

    Three: software corruption.

    Symptom: the laptop screen is black while you can still see the arrow moving on the black screen when you move it.

    Solution: First of all, you can try to use the Last Known Good Configuration to reboot your laptop, if this has no influence on the laptop, you can reboot your laptop with Safe Mode.

    Second, if both two modes can not fix the problem, you have to reinstall the Windows by the help of laptop recovery discs or installation CD. In this step, your personal data will lost, so you had better back up the data at first.

    Symptom: half of the laptop screen is completely black just like the laptop turns off.

    Solution: the pixels of the screen are dead, In this case, the LCD screen cannot be fixed, you have to remove the failed screen and replace it with a new one.

    Two:motherboard failure

    Symptom: half of the laptop is black like it’s blacked out.

    Solution: replace the motherboard.

    Three: it has a connection problem between the circuit board and the LCD screen.

    Symptom: You black screen starts working properly again when you press down on the very top of the green line.

    Solution: This is because a controller circuit board behind the LCD screen is pressure fit flat-surface-to-flat surface to the contacts on the back of the LCD and usually this place collects lots of dust and it has a connection problem between the circuit board and the LCD screen. In this case, you need to replace the LCD screen and you may have those area cleaned by professionals if you can not do it.

    Symptom: laptop screen goes pink while the picture can still be seen when the laptop is turned on.

    Solution: there may be virus on your laptop, so formatting the hard drive.

    Two: backlight failure

    Symptom: the laptop screen goes pink without any pictures and there are beeps when you turn on your laptop.

    Solution: the backlight lamp on your own laptop screen is bad and you should replace it, but it is very difficult for you to replace the backlight lamp so you had better replace the LCD screen.

    Three:motherboard failure.

    Solution: In many laptops, the video card can not be replaced from the motherboard. If the video card fails, you should replace the motherboard too.
