
Many people don’t know the GSMA; there is a brief instruction for it. The GSMA represents the interests of the worldwide mobile communications industry. Spanning 219 countries, the GSMA unites nearly 800 of the world’s mobile operators, as well as more than 200 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset makers, software companies, equipment providers, Internet companies, and media and entertainment organisations. The GSMA is focused on innovating, incubating and creating new opportunities for its membership, all with the end goal of driving the growth of the mobile communications industry.
Today, GSMA announced the 2010 nominees for the 15th Annual Global Mobile Awards.
The Global Mobile Awards includes categories for Mobile Marketing, Best Mobile Contribution to Social & Economic Development, the Green Mobile Awards and Mobile Entertainment, including awards for games, music and video, advertising and social networking.
For mobile entertainment, people are interested in the best mobile games, the Sims 3, Farm Frenzy, Hero of Sparta, The Last City and Speedhero are all nominated.
For the Best Mobile Handset, the award will go to either BlackBerry Bold 9700, Samsung S5230 Star, HTC Hero, Samsung I8910 Omnia HD or Nokia N97 Mini. The BlackBerry and Nokia was nominated last year with their BlackBerry Storm 9500 and Nokia E71.

The following category is the Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough; the award will go to either Snapdragon CPU by Qualcomm or Opera Mini web browser, they are also things people like most.
