    Windows Mobile6.x phone

According to APC report, Windows Mobile6.x may be not able to upgrade to Windows Phone7 system. In order to run on mobile devices Windows Phone7, mobile phones must be equipped with three important keys: back key, start key and search key.

But if the number of function keys of a mobile phone are more than three such as HTC HD2 phone, can it run the Windows Phone7 system (WP7S) normally.

Microsoft Asia Pacific general manager of mobile communications services, Natasha Kwan, said that HD2 also does not have the qualifications to run WP7S because HD2 features a special button which can not meet the requirements of WP7S.

And Australian Microsoft Operations Manager, Tony Wilkinson, then explained that:” HD2 can not support WP7S which is because that WP7S require special hardware within the mobile device.”

It is not clear that which kind of special hardware the HD2 doesn’t consist of. As we know, HD2 is a very excellent phone, and it really has the ability to match WP7S expect for the graphics chip with strong performance. Is this the real reason for it, or the keys can not be compatible to WP7S? Nothing announced yet but there may be information coming next month.
