Today the heroine of our review is LG Cookie Plus GS500v Mobile Phone, which supports for the 3G WCDMA standard network communications terminal. As we said that LG Cookie Plus GS500v is only 11.5 mm thick, and with the whole black color, as if LG Cookie Plus GS500v is a really black afternoon cookie.

The whole thin plastic material, and moderate strength keys of LG GS500v can be counted as a cookie pizza’s “brittle”, which is another feature for LG GS500v be like the cookie.
First of all, LG GS500v Mobile Phone is a candybar phone, and LG GS500v features a 3-inch touch screen with the WQVGA (240×400) resolution. With resistive touch screen design, it doesn’t cause any inconvenience for any users.

On the up right side of the screen, LG GS500v is equipped with the front camera for video calls; on the bottom of the screen, there are three physical function buttons, the middle button is the Task Manager.

If black is a timeless classic, then GS500v chooses the right color. With polishing texture, LG GS500v is more elegant.

LG GS500v features a 3 million pixel camera, which contains neither flash nor auto focus, it is a so simple design for camera.
LG Cookie GS500v’ is featuring the universal interface. Generally, mobile phone from Japanese or Korean will comes with its own interfaces. It will lead to that the USB port or charging jack can not use universally. However, LG Cookie GS500v is an exception, it comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and there is a MicroUSB port on the left side.

LG GS500v also comes with volume control key, screen lock key, camera shutter key, and strap hole. The configuration of LG GS500v is very comprehensive and the layout is reasonable.

We see there is no “S-Class” interface on LG GS500v. Desktop screen of LG GS500v can divides into three major themes: Widget, Livesquare, and contacts.

LiveSquare of LG GS500v brings your digital social networking come to life. With this peer management application, you get to instantly recognize who your best friends are. It keeps track of your most frequently interested contact, making communication with friends more fun and exciting,

LiveSquare of LG GS500v assigns an avatar (Livecon) to each of your contacts. The Livecon can automatically adjust positions according to the frequency of interactions; it will also let you know of incoming calls, missed calls, text messages, birthdays, and more.
Cookie Plus adds extra usability and fun to your mobile experience with essential widgets, various color themes, and pocket apps. Try expressing your character and style through funny cartoon-styled UI.

LG GS500v comes with UI for the world’s most popular SNS, Facebook. LG GS500v allows you to fit the contents of Facebook perfectly to your screen; your social networking experience now becomes faster, easier, and more intuitive.
LG GS500v comes with a 3 million pixel camera, which supports night shooting mode, white balance, color, quality and other settings, the pre-video camera also can shoot VGA (480×640).

Data transmission includes USB connection, and wireless Bluetooth.
LG GS500v features hot-swappable MicroSD card slot (the phone itself will provide 1GB/2GB memory). The 900mAh battery, the capacity is not so large, but the normal life is about two days.

In fact, this LG GS500v basic or comprehensive performance meet our expectations, universal interfaces, more complete functions, high fun interface, and rich applications of SNS. It all pleases us.

A very good phone with good feature set at an incredible price. Although, I expected dual sim and a flash for the camera. That will definitely put this phone as one of the best phones below the 10k margin. Krish(Quote) (Reply)

its one of the best featured phone, I got it for Rs.7500/- in Hyderabad
flash is missing but still can get good Pics from phone in ambient lightning
the voice clarity on both sides of cummunication seems to be good as i have tested it ,( unlike the Cookie pep which lacks the basic functionality by transmitting voice in low volume because of its mic), but in this LG GS500V , i think the Problem has been rectified by LG, thanks for that
The Processor seems to be a little Slow while starting any application,as there are numerous apps preloaded, but you can handle it!
Picture & video Clarity over the screen is Good, for its WQVGA Screen Resolution
rest of the Phone seems to be Ok at this excellent Price, which is quite low for all the features it offers including the 3G facilities Satish Dave(Quote) (Reply)

I have this cell since almost 2 months. The pros:good image viewer, world clock, fun applications, 3 screens. Cons: No flash for camera, Even some of 3 gp files dont run (which runs in any other, even cheap handsets), the worst part that Face book does not open giving msg. “not enough memory” even when internal memory is almost free. When upgraded at service centre it worked for few days. But again failed. It practically does not support 8gb card. As music player takes 20-25 minutes to open and often does not open at all (the handset get hanged and only starts after removing battery) Whereas the total contents were only around 5.6gb. This short comings gives you the feeling of being cheated, for 7500/- price. The lower end handsets (Rs.2500/- to Rs.4000/-)performs better than this model in many aspects. One aspect i come to know is that 30mb of internal memory is very very poor for such application. Or the same should be dynamic memory. This phone also lack in supporting push email/ email appl. Incoming mails are not received and the service provider also opined that customers with LG handsets face this problem widely. Will the LG managers take cognizence of these issues and strive not to repeat this mistakes in future hand sets. Or else they will loose the reputation and market as well, as they faced some time back. aneesh(Quote) (Reply)
