Nokia Kinetic which designed by British designer Jeremy Hopkins is a magical mobile phone that makes reciving calls, text, email more playful by converting the digital information into kinetic movment.

The design brief, was to “design a playful phone for 2012″. It’s a very clean, great looking (concept) phone, An electromagnet is placed in the base of the phone, which allows weight to be shifted, which can causes the phone to stand up.

This gives the user a visual clue to check their phone, in a very playful way. To dismiss a call or cancel an alarm the user can simply give the phone a gentle tap, causing the phone to fall back down again and return to stand by mode.

The idea is that it performs this action for text messages, alarms, reminders, video calls… a neat trick.

Following up on their OSX 10.7 Lion report stating that the development of the new Mac operating system was ahead of schedule,TechCrunch have presented the flip side of OS development by reporting a rumor that the new version of Apple’s mobile device operating system, iOS 5, may in fact be facing delays.

Here is what they’re hearing:
● iOS 5 will launch in the fall and will be a major revamp of the OS.
● It could well be previewed at WWDC, it just won’t be released then.
● The iOS 5 launch is also likely to coincide with the release of a new type of iPad, which we previously reported on.
● The new iOS will be heavily built around the cloud, and we could see several new services launch from Apple that take advantage of this.
● Yes, one of those is very likely a “music locker” service. There is also a fall launch aim for this, during Apple’s annual music-themed event.
● But much of the cloud stuff will first be talked about at WWDC, Apple’s developer event which will take place in June.
● One of the new cloud service elements is likely a location service that focuses on finding friends and family members.
● As we said yesterday, OS X Lion is still on pace for a summer release — some of the new cloud components are likely to be baked into it as well.

So where does that leave the iPhone 5? Unclear. While Apple typically releases a new version of iOS concurrently with a new iPhone, the delay of iOS doesn’t necessarily mean that new Apple hardware is being pushed back until fall this time around. This is all speculation at this point, although FBR Capital Markets analyst Craig Berger has gone on record to indicate that Apple might not have all of its gears in motion to support its annual summer iPhone launch.

If Apple does decide to release iOS 5 in the fall it would be a break from their typical schedule. It’s unclear if they would still launch a new iPhone in June/July or whether this would be pushed back for release alongside the new firmware.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4G is the latest Android smartphone from T-Mobile. It adding 4G HSPA+ speeds of up to 21Mbps, a front-facing VGA camera, enhanced battery life, and Android 2.2 with Flash 10.1 support.

Samsung Galaxy S 4G review——Design
This phone is extremely thin and light. It measures 4.8-inches long, 2.5-inches wide, and 0.4-inches thick, and weighs just over four ounces.

The sides of the phone are shiny silver, and the back cover is a platinum gray color with a cool color shifting effect.

Samsung Galaxy S 4G review——Camera
Everything remains the same as in the Vibrant in these departments, with the exception of the front-facing camera. The rear shooter is 5MP and capable of shooting 720p video. This is a camera with few equals amongst Android devices. It gathers a ton of information, with accurate color balance and exposure. There’s no flash, but low light performance is top notch. Overall, we’re very impressed with the camera on the Galaxy S 4G. It strikes a good balance between image quality and usability, without making too many compromises.

Samsung Galaxy S 4G sample shots

Samsung Galaxy S 4G review——Keyboard
You’ll be relying on the on-screen virtual keyboard here, since the Galaxy S 4G doesn’t have a physical QWERTY keyboard. Thankfully the Swype technology is included, so you should be typing quickly and accurately with a minimum of practice. That’s especially important since this phone is relatively narrow in portrait mode, so the keyboard keys are rather long and narrow too.

Samsung Galaxy S 4G review——Connectivity
Outside of the 4G radio the Galaxy S 4G keeps the same connectivity features as the Vibrant. It is a quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS (1700/2100 MHz) handset that can make calls around the world but only has 3G connectivity T-Mobile’s network. In addition, it packs 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi for local internet connection and Bluetooth 3.0 to pair up with various devices for wireless transfers.

Samsung Galaxy S 4G review——Battery life
The battery life of the samsung galaxy S 4G is good: It lasted five days with light use: watching about 30 minutes of Inception, downloading and playing three games, with some email and web surfing plus three or four calls each day.

LG is releasing various versions of the LG Optimus across all the carriers in the U.S. The LG Optimus V is a relatively new budget Android smartphone available from Virgin Mobile.

LG Optimus V Review—Design
The LG Optimus V is really the spitting image of both the Optimus S and the Optimus U. It’s quite slim, just like the other phones, at only 0.52 inch thick, so it’s very pocket-friendly. It has a nice soft-touch finish all around, and the 3.2-inch touch-screen interface is just as colorful and intuitive. The Optimus V is pure black.

LG Optimus V Review—Features
The LG Optimus V ships with Android 2.2, but it should be upgradable to Android 2.3 in the future. Some of its features include voice dialing over Bluetooth, app sharing, and phonebook integration with Facebook and Twitter contacts. The rest of the features are impressive as well. It has 3G in the form of EV-DO Rev. A, stereo Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. The GPS can be used with a variety of location-based apps, like Google Maps, Latitude, Places, and Scvngr, a scavenger hunt-inspired app.

LG Optimus V Review—Ports
To the left is the microSD slot, and opposite, on the right, exists the volume rocker, voice dial and the dedicated camera button. On the bottom is the microUSB and up top the 3.5 mm headphone jack and power / lock button. Flip the phone over and on the back is the 3.2 megapixel camera.

LG Optimus V Review—Camera
The 3.2-megapixel camera of Optimus V with built-in auto focus could snap outstanding photos and record VGA-quality videos.

The quality of photos and videos taken with the Optimus V is OK. The still camera has no flash, but it has autofocus and does a pretty good job even in mildly lit environments.

The Palm Pre 2 ships with WebOS 2.0, which brings such improvements as better multitasking and enhanced universal search. Now, let`s have a look at the Palm Pre 2 Verizon Wrieless and know more about it.

Palm Pre 2 Verizon Wireless Review—Design
The Palm Pre 2 looks like a slightly crisper version of the original. It measures 4.0 by 2.3 by 0.7 inches (HWD) and weighs 5.1 ounces. It’s made of glossy black plastic, with a glass front panel and a soft-touch battery cover.

Palm Pre 2 Verizon Wireless Review—Keyboard
The slide-out QWERTY keyboard is quite cramped, but the sticky rubber nubs are easier to type on than they look. A sharp ridge at the bottom of the keypad can be a bit uncomfortable, though. Dialing numbers was easy using the on-screen keypad. There’s no camera shortcut button, but the Pre 2 includes a hardware ringer switch, which is increasingly rare and welcome.

Palm Pre 2 Verizon Wireless Review—Ports
On the top of the device you will find a power/lock button, a silent ringer switch, and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. A volume rocker sits on the left side, and a Micro-USB port on the right side. The latter no longer features a protective cover, which we think is a good thing since it was a bit cumbersome. Finally, the camera and flash are located on the back..

Palm Pre 2 Verizon Wireless Review—Camera
The new 5-megapixel camera offers an LED flash, geo-tagging, and what HP calls extended depth of field, but no actual auto-focus. The latter didn’t matter; test photos were sharp, and exhibited exceptionally vibrant color for a camera phone.

Palm Pre 2 Verizon Wireless Review—Multimedia
The Palm Pre 2 includes a standard-size 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can easily use the phone as a primary music player. There’s 16GB of internal storage, but no memory card slot. To transfer media, you can drag and drop your files or use the free app DoubleTwist, which no longer has specific Pre support but works with any drag-and drop-compatible phone.

Palm Pre 2 Verizon Wireless Review—WebOS 2.0
Though the Palm Pre 2 doesn’t reflect a lot of design changes, there are some nice improvements behind the scenes. The smartphone ships running WebOS 2.0, which brings a handful of enhancements to some of the operating system’s already impressive functionality.

WebOS needs a cutting-edge, flagship device and enough market share to encourage third-party developers. HP just announced two new phones, the Pre 3 and the Veer, but we’re waiting to see if and when those appear on any US carriers.

The Motorola ATRIX 4G is one of the world’s fastest smartphone, literally. With a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, it’s a screamer. So much so, it can power a full netbook-like laptop accessory.

Motorola Atrix 4G review—Camera
Nothing is dinky about the Atrix 4G, and that extends to the cameras too. The real highlight here is the 5 megapixel shooter on the back of the device, which cranks out impressive shots in both high- and low- light, and can be customized quickly for various settings. The camera also functions as a 720p video camera, and we had great results capturing HD content on the device. Even in low light, the results looked sharp.

Motorola Atrix 4G review—specifications
The Motorola Atrix 4G comes with a Tegra 2 dual-core 1Ghz processor (which is about twice as faster than any smartphones out today including iPhone 4), 4-inch qHD display (960×540 pixls), 1GB of RAM, 5MP back camera and 0.3MP front camera, Android 2.2 Froyo, 16GB internal storage, mini HDMI output, and 1930mAh battery.

Motorola Atrix 4G review—Performance
Couple that with ability to run a portable linux operating system off a custom laptop dock, the Atrix 4G is more than a phone, it’s like a smartphone that’s also a netbook.

Motorola Atrix 4G review—Laptop Dock
This is where the phone extends beyond a phone into something more, and it gets really interesting. As you might have heard and seen, the Motorola ATRIX has a couple accessory friends, and one of them is a laptop dock — a full fledged computer powered by the phone itself. It is nothing in the laptop dock—no memory, no processor, nothing. In addition to containing basically an 11.6-inch screen, full keyboard, and built-in battery, the laptop dock actually doesn’t skimp on some essentials.

When you pop open the laptop, you’ll find a healthy 11.5-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768, a full width chiclet keyboard which is small though by no means unusable, and a spacious trackpad with two buttons. Around back there are two USB ports and the power jack, and on the front of the laptop there is a small battery display readout which is activated by a small button (similar to a MacBook Pro).

HD/desktop dock
