Nokia Kinetic which designed by British designer Jeremy Hopkins is a magical mobile phone that makes reciving calls, text, email more playful by converting the digital information into kinetic movment.

The design brief, was to “design a playful phone for 2012″. It’s a very clean, great looking (concept) phone, An electromagnet is placed in the base of the phone, which allows weight to be shifted, which can causes the phone to stand up.

This gives the user a visual clue to check their phone, in a very playful way. To dismiss a call or cancel an alarm the user can simply give the phone a gentle tap, causing the phone to fall back down again and return to stand by mode.

The idea is that it performs this action for text messages, alarms, reminders, video calls… a neat trick.

That is not to say a larger keyboard would not be better, but we found using it was relatively pain free, especially as the space bar is particularly wide.

In the middle of the keyboard is a pink (blue if the handset front is blue) group of keys, 4 x 3, and this takes care of numbers. As touch is not an option, this was the only route, and it works. The colour helps familiarise you with there location.

The Sprint’s new 4g HTC Shift phone which people anxious to buy will getting announced this week, as it is expected out on the market on Jan. 9.

It’s pretty much a smaller version of the HTC EVO 4G except that it has a slide out QWERTY horizontal keyboard. The phone is supposed to be a CDMA workable version of the HTC’s Desire Z unit.

Not much has been released on the specs of the new phone, but rumors say it has a 3.7” touchscreen  with a screen resolution of  800×480,  support for a microSD card, b/g/n Wi-Fi bands, and that it will come complete with the Android 2.2 ‘Froyo’ working system.  However, this phone’s shaping up to be the EVO 4G`s keyboard-equipped cousin, albeit with a lower-res camera (5 megapixels), a smaller display, and — seemingly — no front camera.And, however, is not a real bad problem, as no retailers in the U.S. have NFC capabilities as yet.

The  Jan. 9 dates is fairly certain, as accessories for the phone are also expected to be in stores at that time. It is presumed that the new phone will work on Sprint’s new 4G network, which relies on WiMax technology. However, of course, not if you don’t expect to use the phone or don’t live someplace that currently has access to the 4G service which is not yet available everywhere.

Recently, more and more people complain that the Antenna that iPhone4 is proud of has a fatal flaw. When user tightly holds the iPhone 4 smartphone for a while, the signal of the iPhone 4 will loose rapidly. But, Apple states that, “You are holding the phone the wrong way, and just avoid holding it in that way”. What’s more, Apple also explained it in this way, “Upon investigation, we were stunned to find that the formula we use to calculate how many bars of signal strength to display is totally wrong,” Apple’s letter read. “Our formula, in many instances, mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should for a given signal strength.”

Some users said that if iPhone 4 is covered by a $29 rubber “Bumper Case”, the signal dropping problem will be not so obvious. Has Apple already known that there is problem related to the iPhone 4 antenna, and do they just want to solve this problem by the “Bumper Case”?

At Google I / O, Acer shows next generation flagship Android phone– Acer Liquid stream S110.

Acer Liquid stream S110 is based on the original Liquid, then added with a more powerful 500-megapixel camera capable of 720p video capture. Acer Liquid stream S110 will be running Android 2.1 version and will quickly be upgraded to Android 2.2 version. Acer Liquid stream S110 will still use the Snapdragon 1GHz processor.

Android users are most concerned about the current issue whether their phones are able to upgrade to the latest version of the system, and when to upgrade. HTC said that if your phone is released in 2010, the phone will be likely upgrade to Froyo, including Desire, Droid Incredible, EVO 4G , MyTouch Slide as well as other phones will be released in the future, they all have the opportunities to upgrade to Android 2.2. In addition, Nexus One has been used to test new system, Google must make their own brand mobile phone upgrade.

Here’s the official word:

“If your phone was launched this year, we will most likely provide an upgrade for it to the Froyo version. This includes popular models like the Desire and Droid Incredible as well as hotly anticipated phones like the Evo 4G, MyTouch slide and upcoming models. We will announce a full list of phones and dates once we are closer to launching the upgrades. We are working closely with Google and our other partners to ensure we have the earliest access to everything we need to provide a complete and solid Sense experience on Froyo. We expect to release all updates in the second half of this year but can’t be more specific yet.”

HTC’s argument is quite interesting, although some models are listed, but “most likely” maybe means that there are some phones may not upgrade. It also can be thought that the phone launched before may also be able to be upgraded, while the date of upgrade is still unknown.

What’s more, HTC said that the Sense interface may be added in the Froyo. With Sense interface, does the phone work better than before or not? And when will G3 phone with Android 2.1 be official release? There is still no answer.
